FAQ
Are UsageMeter and SelectorsHub's Claude Usage Meter the same product?
No. Several extensions have similar names. SelectorsHub makes Claude Usage Meter; UsageMeter is made by usagemeter.app, and its Chrome Web Store listing is called “Claude Usage Meter — Usage Tracker & Themes”. The two are not related.
Which one works with a free Claude account?
Both. SelectorsHub's listing says it works with free, Pro and Max plans, and UsageMeter 1.6.0 reads the limits Claude sends with each reply on a free account. Anthropic documents no usage bars for free accounts, so this can change.
Which one alerts me before the limit?
Both. SelectorsHub's notifications at 50, 75, 90% or any threshold are free. UsageMeter's are Pro: at your threshold (90% by default), when your pace would block you soon, at 100% and when a limit is back, never twice across your devices.
