FAQ
Can I use ccusage and UsageMeter together?
Yes. ccusage reads your local Claude Code logs; UsageMeter reads the limits claude.ai reports for your plan. They answer different questions.
Does ccusage show how much of my plan is left?
Not as a plan percentage: it reports tokens and costs at API prices from local logs, and groups them into 5-hour blocks. The remaining share of your limits is what Settings > Usage, /usage and UsageMeter show.
Does ccusage tell me when I will hit the limit?
It projects the total of your current 5-hour block at your burn rate, and can mark blocks that come near a token limit you set yourself. UsageMeter gives roughly the time you would hit each limit claude.ai reports for your plan, at your recent pace.
