The most advanced models get their own weekly limit. UsageMeter tracks it on its own, with the steady-pace mark and the exact countdown to the reset — green, amber from 75 %, red from 90 %.

  1. Under 75 % — all clear

    The ring stays green. Use Claude freely; UsageMeter keeps count in the background.

  2. 75 to 90 % — pace yourself

    The ring turns amber. Past the white mark you are going faster than a steady pace, and the popup says roughly when you would hit the limit.

  3. Over 90 % — plan the reset

No. UsageMeter is an independent tool, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC, named here only to say what the extension works with.

The extension reads the same usage figures claude.ai loads for your own signed-in session, and refreshes them every 30 seconds. The percentages are Claude’s own; the tokens are counted on your messages, in your browser, or estimated and marked ≈, and for Claude Code they come from UsageMeter Link. Your conversations never leave your browser.

Yes, with two free Windows apps. UsageMeter Link counts Claude Code’s tokens on each PC and adds them to your week. UsageMeter Desktop, in beta, brings the extension into the Claude Desktop app.
