On Firefox, the popup could say “Unable to load data” although your figures were there: a damaged history entry in the browser’s storage blocked every read of it. UsageMeter now repairs it on its own, and the gauges stay on screen in the meantime. The usage history starts over; nothing else is lost.

Without Pro, UsageMeter now sends one notification when your 5-hour session or your week reaches 90%, once per cycle. Pro still warns you earlier, at your own threshold and at your current pace.

Under Claude’s last reply, next to its price, a countdown shows how long the conversation stays in the cache. Once it has expired, it shows what the next reply will read again without the cache. The duration is an estimate: Anthropic doesn’t publish claude.ai’s.

When a conversation has grown heavy, the panel under a reply’s price offers to continue in a new chat: it opens with the latest exchanges and the artifacts’ titles already in the message box. Nothing is sent, and nothing leaves your browser.

When the gauges stop updating, the popup says why: data that has grown old (one click on Refresh), an account Claude no longer answers for (sign in again on claude.ai), or Claude not answering, with the error and the time of the next try. When Claude asks to wait, automatic reads now wait too, 15 minutes at most.

Firefox containers, private windows and Chrome’s incognito: a claude.ai tab now shows the figures of its own account, and switching or adding an account from it only changes that container or window. The popup says when the open tab isn’t the account it shows.

Signing in now says what is synced to our servers in the EU (usage figures, Claude account labels and settings) and that your conversations stay in your browser. The privacy policy bundled with the extension details what is collected, processed, stored and shared.

The toolbar icon now shows your limits, live: an outer ring for the 5-hour session and an inner ring for the week, each in its warning color. A verified Ultra account, with no 5-hour limit, sees its week on the outer ring. You can go back to the logo in Settings.

Click the price under a reply to see what it weighs: the conversation read again, your message and the reply. When the conversation has grown heavy, the panel suggests a new chat.

The History tab shows what your subscription got you this month at API prices, next to its price, with a card to share. Chats are an estimate measured in this browser; the Claude Code figure comes with Pro.

Your first "Remind me" is free. When a limit blocks you, one click sets a notification at the reset that reopens your chat, with no account and no card.

A new UsageMeter account starts with 7 days of Pro, no card needed. It ends by itself; nothing is charged.

The Founder licence is open: UsageMeter Pro for one payment, no subscription, for as long as Pro exists. 100 seats only.

Invite a friend from the extension: your link is in Settings › About, one click to copy. Their first month is free and you get a month of Pro.

In the first week of a month, the popup shows what the month before was worth at API prices, with a card to share. With enough Claude Code users, the card can also show your place: top 1, 5, 10, 25 or 50 %.

On days when clearly more UsageMeter users than usual hit a limit, a line in the popup says so and opens a public radar: you can tell whether it’s you or Claude.

A public Claude Code leaderboard for the month. Nobody is on it unless they turn it on in their widget settings, and it never shows an address or a project.

The plan barometer: what 1 % of each Claude plan is worth in tokens, measured by UsageMeter and set next to what the plan promises. A plan shows a figure once enough accounts stand behind it.

Get one e-mail when Anthropic changes Claude’s limits: an address on the limits pages, a confirmation, and nothing else. No account or extension needed.

The sign-up form now fills in from your Claude account: your address and a username without spaces. You can change both, and nothing is sent until you create the account.

Without an account, the popup can show a short message from UsageMeter that opens the sign-up form. Its × closes it until the text changes.

The first-month-free offer now opens the first time a limit blocks you, instead of at install.

Firefox: prices, the welcome offer and one-click checkout could fail to load in the popup.

The popup is readable again in Arabic: since 1.7.1 it was shown as in a mirror.

UsageMeter now contacts its server 4 to 7 times less often: 8 requests an hour without an account, 14 with one, instead of 56. It also no longer starts everything over each time your browser wakes it up.

Cloud sync could be refused in some browsers before anything was sent, without any message, so your history and settings stayed on that device. It now goes through.

Cloud sync now needs an account: without one, it sends nothing. With one, it sends only what changed, not your whole history every few minutes.

On verified Ultra, “Last 5 hours” no longer counts days UsageMeter didn’t see. Back on a PC after a few days, everything used in the meantime landed on the last 5 hours, with a false warning that the week was about to run out. It now starts from the first reading it saw and says since when.

Claude Team and Enterprise accounts are now recognized: they showed as Free. A plan UsageMeter doesn’t know shows no name rather than Free.

An account in several Claude organizations, a personal one and a company’s, now shows the plan of the one you’re using, and stays on it when you switch back to that account.

Verified Ultra accounts get a week view at the top of the popup instead of a 5-hour session they don’t have: your week’s %, its reset and pace, the tokens of the week with what is left, and the last 5 hours — how much of the week they took and when the week runs out at that pace.

Verified Ultra accounts no longer show 0 % after a message. Claude’s reply still mentions a 5-hour window that is not a limit on these accounts: UsageMeter took it for one, and the % on claude.ai, the toolbar badge and the popup read 0 %. It now ignores that window and follows your week.

The “Claude is AI and can make mistakes” line no longer runs under UsageMeter’s chips in the message box: while they are there, it is hidden, in every language.

Shares of a limit now read in percent instead of points (“41.2% of the limit”), in the popup, on claude.ai and on usagemeter.app.

Ultra has no 5-hour limit, and UsageMeter no longer goes blank on it. Once Anthropic has verified an Ultra account, Claude stops reporting a 5-hour session: UsageMeter’s % on claude.ai and in Claude Code, the toolbar badge and the tab icon now follow the limit closest to blocking, your week, instead of disappearing, and the popup says the account has no 5-hour limit.

The popup tells you whether your Ultra account is verified. Anthropic lifts Ultra’s 5-hour limit once it has verified the account: until then the plan reads “Ultra · not verified” and the session carries a “temporary” tag, then “Ultra · verified”, with no session at all.

Ready for Claude’s new plans: Max 5x is now called Max and Max 20x is now Ultra, in the popup, the accounts list and the side panel. Nothing changes for your saved accounts.

No more double gauge in your chats. Claude now shows its own small usage ring in the message box, so it sat right next to UsageMeter’s %. UsageMeter’s % now takes its place, with the full details on hover; turn Settings › On claude.ai › Usage indicator off to bring Claude’s ring back.

UsageMeter’s panels on claude.ai now wear Claude’s own colors. The usage details, the message queue, the reload card, the notices and the export dialogs follow Claude’s light and dark modes instead of a fixed black panel, and their percentages stay easy to read on both.

Your usage % is back in Claude Code on the web. Claude’s new interface moved its small usage ring next to the model picker and UsageMeter no longer found it: the percentage, its trend arrow and the full details on hover are there again.

Turning Settings › On claude.ai › Usage indicator off and back on no longer leaves Claude’s own gauge showing next to UsageMeter’s in Claude Code.

In Claude Code on the web, the account switcher moves to the session’s title bar when the page has no sidebar to hold it.

A free limit reset you already used no longer shows as available in the popup. UsageMeter now reads what Claude’s Settings › Usage says (resets left, expiry date) and checks it again every 10 minutes, so a reset used in the app or another browser disappears too.

The free reset card shows its real expiry date, and the reminders 2 days and 6 hours before it expires now fire.

UsageMeter asks for fewer permissions: no more access to your browsing history or to sites it does not use, and sites other than claude.ai and Google can no longer detect that it is installed.

The Claude button on Google search is now optional: turn it on in Settings › Integrations, and your browser asks once for access to Google. If you used it, turn it back on there.

Your GitHub widgets can show one Claude account instead of all of them added up: pick it in the Accounts tab of the popup or on usagemeter.app/account/widgets. Handy with a personal and a work account.

Compare two accounts on your widgets: limits, days with Claude (each day split in two), Claude Code tokens, models and cost side by side, with the gap between them.

The Accounts tab shows the gap between your live account and the next one, for the session and the week.

A notification the day Anthropic releases a new Claude model, with its API price per million tokens, on every plan, Free included. One per model, and you can turn it off in Settings › Notifications.

Pro alerts before the wall: at your threshold (90 % by default), when your current pace would block you soon, at 100 % and the moment a limit is back, even if it reset while your browser was closed. Never twice for the same alert, across your browsers and the UsageMeter Link app. Turn on a heads-up the day before your weekly reset when much of your week is still unused.

“At this pace: blocked around 21:40”: the forecast now follows your last 45 minutes (12 hours for the week), in the popup and in the toolbar icon's tooltip.

The price of every reply on claude.ai: what it cost your session (“+1.8 %”), under the reply and in the message box. When Claude Code or another chat moved your limit at the same time, it shows “≈” or nothing, never a wrong figure.

Claude widgets for your GitHub README: your Claude Code tokens, a GitHub-style grid of your days with Claude and your streak, and your models, as cards or shields.io-style badges, for your profile, your site, Notion or Obsidian. Nothing is public until you switch it on, and one click turns it all off. Six widgets, including the new trophies, and six themes are free, with corners, border, size and a compact form. Pro adds the Claude Code cost and all-in-one stats cards, 13 more themes (Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night…), your own colours and up to 52 weeks on the grid.

When Claude is down or overloaded, the popup and a pill under the claude.ai message box say so (“Incident at Claude, not your limit”), with a link to the status page.

Free Claude accounts get their gauges: UsageMeter reads the limits Claude sends with each reply.

Today's budget: “Today: 8 / 12 pts” spreads what's left of your week until it resets, with a timeline of your 5-hour window, and your resets go to Google Calendar, Outlook or an .ics file in one click.

“Share my week”: a button in “This week by product” opens your shareable card on usagemeter.app.

Claude Code routines: today's runs next to your limits (“9/15”), on claude.ai/code/routines too, with a Pro alert at 80 %.

UsageMeter in the side panel, an optional two-ring toolbar icon (session and week), and Alt+Shift+U to open it. The popup now fits any width.

Firefox for Android is supported.

Blocked on claude.ai? Pro asks for a reminder at the reset (“Remind me at 6:49 PM”) right from the panel, the toolbar badge alternates MAX with the time left, and a “What can I do?” link explains your options.

Paid plans get a reminder of the limit reset Anthropic gave with Opus 5.5 (to use before October 22, according to press reports), with simple advice when Claude reports it.

On the free plan, History shows your real chart, blurred and computed on your device. Pro adds the chats that weighed most on your week.

Updates install by themselves within minutes and your claude.ai tabs keep working: no more red “reload” message. After an update, one sentence tells you what's new.

Easier to read and to drive from the keyboard: stronger contrast, 1 to 5 switch tabs, R refreshes, and a small “?” opens the guide for the lines people often misread.

The message queue works again, speaks your language and shows in the toolbar tooltip instead of replacing the badge; “MAX” no longer shows at 99 %, German durations read “2 Std. 13 Min.”, and plans are named “Max 5x” and “Max 20x” everywhere.

A new popup that counts in tokens. Every Claude limit gets its own gauge: the 5-hour session, the weekly limit shared by all models and products, and any separate weekly limit a model or product has. Each one tells you whether you are on track or roughly when you would hit it at your current pace. The old "messages left" estimate is gone.

This week by product: see how much of your weekly limit went to chats, Claude Code and Cowork. Pair the UsageMeter Link companion app and the Claude Code share turns into real token counts, added up across all your PCs.

Usage credits at a glance: if you pay for usage past your plan limit, the popup shows this month's spend against your monthly cap, what you can still spend and whether auto-reload is on.

Interactive charts: your usage over the current window with a projection to its reset, over the last 24 hours or over the last 7 days. The arrow keys move along the curve, any chart can switch to a table, and the CSV export keeps every point.

A "Closest limit" option for the toolbar badge: the icon shows whichever limit is nearest to blocking you.

A new setup after install, in five short steps: your live usage straight away, then your look, what the extension does, an optional account and Pro.

Upgrade to Pro in one click from claude.ai. When the extension is signed in, Pro switches on by itself right after payment and an open popup updates on the spot.

UsageMeter now starts in your browser's language, and a language picked in Settings applies instantly.

Restore from account now tells you what happened: settings restored, nothing new to bring back, or server unreachable.

The welcome offer is now translated into all 34 languages; 32 of them used to show it in English.

Signing in on a second browser no longer erases your saved Claude accounts. Accounts are now merged between browsers: each browser keeps its own session keys and what it measured, and the latest rename of an account wins everywhere.

A browser that signs in to your account for the first time now gets the settings of your other browsers straight away.

Turning keyboard shortcuts off, or back on, now takes effect immediately, without reloading claude.ai.

The setup no longer promises a free first month once the welcome offer has ended: it shows the 7-day free trial every new subscriber gets.
